We are a little over halfway through the one-year program and have really enjoyed working with international students. As new Cross Church School of Ministry (CCSM) students are joining the team, we will now be transitioning into a slightly different missions role in CCSM at another Cross Church campus. This will allow Derick to focus more on the additional seminary hours he would like to complete, as well as provide a look at other ministry aspects before our term ends.
In the past couple months, we have had many wonderful opportunities to minister in our local area. We hosted a table at a "hot pot" event on the University of Arkansas campus and were able to connect with several students who had just arrived to the states hours before. Derick helped organize a last-minute international Christmas party at the College pastor's home and we had an amazing turnout: thirteen countries were represented! We look forward to going on a couple more missions trips in the next few months to Mexico and Colorado.
Please pray with us as we continue to look for ways to share the hope of Jesus with others and work with CCSM!
Praise and Prayer Requests:
• Praise the Lord for new connections with students on campus and the chance to "live life" with many of them!
• Pray for our friends back in Central America, and specifically a friend whose relative was murdered a few weeks ago.
• Pray for God's direction for us as we pray about our future plans for our family after CCSM.
